Paanch Pokhari, as the name suggest comprises of 5 holy ponds of great religious significance. It lies in the northeast part of Sindhupalchowk district. Trek to Panch Pokhari offers a beautiful Himalayan view, pristine nature, unspoiled culture. Paanch Pokhari region is one of the new and unspoiled trekking destinations in Nepal. The route passes through villages and settlement of different ethnic people like Brahmins, Chhetris, Tamangs, Newars, Gurungs, etc.
Paanch Pokhari lies at an elevation of about 4,100m above sea level and is one of the famous Hindu pilgrimage site in Nepal. Trek to Paanch Pokhari will provide the closer view of Langtang Range, Jugal Himal, Rolwaling Himal and many other snowcapped peaks. Paanch Pohkari is considered as the source of peace where thousands of pilgrims come in every Janai Purnima to take holy bath. Next important part of this trek is the visit to historical place Dokhang, which is considered to be the place which was ruled by Kaji rulers 172 years ago. Major attraction of this trek is the route that passes through naturally, culturally, and traditionally enriched villages, endangered wild lives, beautiful flowers, the colourful and unique lifestyle of the people, Buddhist monasteries, Hindus temples and typical and interesting civilization, etc.
