Everest Base Camp (EBC) Trek ~ Itinerary
Day 1
Welcome to Nepal.
Upon arrival at the airport, a team member will greet you and transfer you to the hotel in Thamel. Thamel, situated in the heart of Kathmandu, is a lively area filled with restaurants, bars, and shops selling unique Nepalese products and trekking gear. You’ll have the opportunity to explore this vibrant area. You’ll also meet our guide on the same day, who will address any questions or concerns you may have about your Everest Base Camp trek.

Day 2
Kathmandu to Lukla by flight then Phakding.
The guide will be at the hotel to escort you to the airport for your flight to Lukla (2860m) from Kathmandu. Depending on the weather conditions, there may be a slight delay. It’s important to note that Lukla is significantly colder than Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Lukla, you’ll meet our experienced porter. Your trek will begin with a gradual descent to Phakding, where you’ll spend the night. Along the way, you’ll pass through Buddhist areas, encountering monasteries, prayer wheels, local Sherpa villages, farmland, and scenic mountain views.

Day 3
Phakding to Namche Bazaar.
Today’s journey will lead you along the banks of the Dudhkoshi River until you reach the confluence with the Bhotekoshi River. Be mindful that the trail may be narrow and bustling. You’ll traverse numerous suspension bridges, with the last one marking the beginning of a steep uphill climb to Namche.
En route, take in the sights of farmland, local markets, waterfalls, and pine forests, while keeping an eye out for wildlife and a variety of birds, including Nepal’s national bird, the Danfe. Weather permitting, you may also catch glimpses of Mt. Everest, Lho-che, and Thamserku.
Upon arrival at Namche Bazaar, the vibrant Sherpa town where you’ll spend the night, take some time to explore and immerse yourself in the local atmosphere.

Day 4
Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar.
Spend the day acclimatizing to the high altitude. After breakfast, if the weather allows, we’ll head towards a nearby hill close to the army camp to enjoy panoramic mountain views. Following this, we have the option to visit the Sherpa museum to learn about the local culture.
For those interested, there’s an optional excursion to the Everest View Hotel, offering similar breathtaking vistas of Lhotse (8,516m), Ama Dablam (6,812m), and Everest (8,848m) await.

Day 5
Namche to Tangboche.
The trails feature gentle inclines with no significant steep sections. Along the way, you’ll be treated to stunning vistas of rhododendron forests and panoramic mountain views. Upon reaching Tengboche, a visit to the Tengboche Monastery awaits—a revered site, renowned as one of the oldest and most culturally significant monasteries in the region. Here, a lama will recite from the holy scriptures and offer blessings to all trekkers. Your overnight stay will be in Tengboche.

Day 6
Tangboche to Dingboche.
Consider waking up early to catch the sunrise and capture breathtaking pictures of the majestic Ama Dablam peak. As we proceed, we’ll cross the Imja River and ascend gradually towards Dingboche. Along the way, you’ll be treated to stunning views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Taboche, and the iconic Island Peak. Additionally, you’ll encounter the highest Sherpa settlement in the Khumbu Region during today’s trek.

Day 7
Acclimatization Day.
Take another day to acclimate to the high altitude in Dingboche. Take a short hike to Chukung Valley to soak in the stunning panoramic views of the surroundings. Additionally, consider visiting the base of Nangkar Tshang Peak for its awe-inspiring mountain vistas, including the majestic Mt Makalu. Take a moment to relax and enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere.

Day 8
Dingboche to Lhobuche.
The trail ascends gradually along the moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. As you progress, you’ll encounter memorials for climbers who perished on Everest, as well as numerous yaks grazing in the pasture. From Thokla Pass, you’ll be treated to panoramic views of Tawche, Cholache, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Pumari, Nuptse, and Kusumkangkaru mountains.

Day 9
Lobuche to EBC Trek via Gorakshep.

Day 10
Gorakshep to Pheriche (Morning hike to Kalapatthar).
Not to forget getting up early on this day so that you get to see golden rays of sunrise glittering over the snow-clad mountains in the region look amazing. Reaching upto kalapatthar is challenging yet rewarding. You will see 360 degree magnificent panaromic Mountain View of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and surrounding peaks from here. This is the highest point of your trek. We will then Decent to Gorakshep towards Pheriche for your overnight stay.

Day 11
Pheriche to Namche Bazaar.
As you continue along the trail, heading towards Namche Bazaar, you’ll encounter picturesque local villages and dense forests, perfect for capturing some stunning photos. After a fulfilling hike, you’ll return to Namche Bazaar, where you can indulge in a hot shower, enjoy a delicious meal, and even treat yourself to a refreshing beer if you fancy. Take some time to relax and unwind, perhaps connecting with loved ones back home using the available Wi-Fi and sharing snapshots of your adventure.

Day 12
Namche Bazaar to Lukla.
The path winds downhill along a ridge, passing through pine forests until you reach a high suspension bridge. From there, the remainder of the journey to Lukla is relatively straightforward. Once you arrive in Lukla, take the opportunity to bid farewell to your trekking staff, expressing gratitude for their service and ensuring they feel appreciated with a tip. Take a moment to reflect on the remarkable experiences and memories you’ve gathered during your time in the Himalayas as you prepare to depart. Your overnight accommodation will be in Lukla.

Day 13
Fly back from Lukla to Kathmandu.
We’ll catch an early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you’ll be taken to your hotel in Kathmandu where you can unwind and rejuvenate. Afterwards, take the opportunity to explore the city, shop for souvenirs, or visit any nearby attractions you might have missed at the start of your journey.

Day 14
Departure.
Depending on your flight schedule, you might have some leisure time to further explore Kathmandu after breakfast.
