Chitwan Jungle Safari
Chitwan National Park is located in the southern central part of Nepal and covers 932 sq. km. The entire area of the park is covered with deciduous forest and is surrounded by Narayani and Rapti rivers. Chitwan Jungle Safari is one of the exciting tours in Nepal. The jungle safari accommodates the site seeing along with safari on elephant back. Headquarter of the park is Kasara which is 21 km drive from Bharatpur, which is at a distance of 146 km by road from Kathmandu. Chitwan National Park has been declared as UNESCO Natural heritage site since 1979.
Chitwan safari offers a wilder diversity of rich ecosystem including mammals, reptiles, birds, and insects along with a wide variety of plants, trees, and flowers. The major highlights of the safari are Asian one-horned rhinoceros and Royal Bengal Tigers. Other excitements of this safari are; prehistoric rhino, lumbering elephants, pythons, deer and crocodile, brilliantly colored birds, rhesus monkey, deer, leopards, wild cats, etc. The trip will also allow you to enjoy the light of colorful Tharu culture, their way of living, their culture and tradition as well.
